Re: 2004 CITI GOLF NO SPARK?? PLEASE ASSIST
Hi Wayne.
Oky , i had same issue with my golf.
Here is a few tests to see where the prob is.
1 - Test the Coil.
Take the coil wire out from the dizzy and check for spark there.
If you don't have spark there it might either be the coil or you are not getting a signal from your box.
To check signal you must check on your dizzy you have a plug with 3 wires on it. The extreme left wire should be a V- , the centre must be a 5V+ signal wire and extreme right will be a V+.
To test this switch ignition on and check left and right wire , after that crank motor and check centre wire for pulses. If this is not correct you might either have a faulty crank sensor or a positive might be lost somewhere.
If you have spark from the dizzy then your rotor inside the dizzy might be faulty.
Check these and let me know if you found the prob.

Try your ecu in your friends car, its decoded already so will work in any mp9 vehicle.
Your car doesn't have a crank sensor, it has a hall sensor in the dizzy but to test signal would be same method mentioned already.

Hi Wayne
Might be , test your ECU in another vehicle and check its the easier way then checking for pulses.
I usually use a test light to check pulses.
If you don't come right pm me and i will try help over the phone.
