Howdy all
Been a very long time since I featured on this forum (2014) eish
Sold my 9n3 bought a ford focus, sold that and picked this up yesterday.
2015 1.2tsi trendline
So far I am happy.
But the 14" wheels I am looking at changing and maybe having a look at vw for the eibach springs.
Any good suggestions for rims? Aswell stick with 14s or go to 16 or 17
Cheers

Re: Polo 6c Thread
Been off the forum for a while but now that I got a 2017 Polo 1.2TSI DSG. I need advise. What are the mods that I can do that won't mess with the warranty?
I love the WRC Kit but I don't see a lot of 1.2 TSI's with it. Anyone who has done it other than the PGTI guys?
The rear 6c Polo GTI rear bumper is a must do for me. Anyone done it? Is it a straight swap. Many questions but I know i will get answers here. I wish i can read from page 1 to 90 of this thread but don't have the patience.

Uncle Shaun .
And a few others has done it to the 1.2tsi.
In terms of mods.
Lighting is safe.
Intake is safe.
Downpipe ish safe.
These are all easy fitment and remove if needed in a claim.

Your exhaust will cramp due to it's small. And the gap is made for a double.

Re: Polo 6c Thread
I have a 2015 highline dsg, can someone give me the part number for the VW lowering springs?
Can a reverse camera be fitted to my oem radio. Not sure which modal it is. I have the factory fitted front and rear pdc which show up on the radio screen.
Thanks in advance

Re: Polo 6c Thread
Howzit Guys, i Just joined this forum recently and have seen some awesome polo 6c's out there. My current Car is a 2017 Polo 6c 1.2 TSI Highline Manual which i bought brand new last year.
As of now i have a Catback single tip exhaust which is bigger than the stock tip that comes with the car done by Powerflow. I also just fitted a Tweek performance intake which gave a nice dumpvalve sound on gear changes. I also have the OEM polo 6c GTI rear spoiler and Rims with a couple of 'R' badges on the rear and sides of the car. I'm Trying to recreate my own version of what i think a polo R model should look like. Bumpers are all still stock standard but looking at changing them soon.
Would love to hear feedback from you guys regarding software for the 1.2 tsi highline models. Will the dealers pick up if I have had software on my car prior to servicing etc. and will it affect the reliability of my car?
Below are some Pics of my car.....Thanks in advance guys!

TURBULENCE wrote:Hi NightStalkerNightStalker wrote:Hi guys, have a question for the 1.2tsi DSG owners.
Do you guys also find the DSG gearbox being not very smooth in the first 3 gears?
My concern is that when I pull away slowly (mind set to eco mode) it is as if the gearbox forgets to engage the first gear every now and then; revs up to about 1500rpm and then it's like 'O cr@p I need to do something now' first gear engages and jolts forwards with the same feeling as if you pop the clutch in a manual. Makes one look really stupid in stop- go traffic.
Then comes the shifts 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 gives the feeling as a slipping clutch , lets say shift point is 2100 RPM, it will pick up to 2100 and instead of just dropping the the rpm to where it should be in the next gear it first picks up about 200 rpm and then drops.
Anyone have any idea why all of this is happening?
Nope I've never experienced that with mine. It's responsive to take offs. The problem I have is a bit of roll back while in traffic. If I release foot brake it doesn't creep forward all the time, will roll back a little.
Let VW check it out.

Just to revive this post. Mine started doing all of the above as well. Also the roll back whilst in D was horrifying, no forward creeping on a flat or incline at all, car will just roll until accelerator is appliedNightStalker wrote:Hi guys, have a question for the 1.2tsi DSG owners.
Makes one look really stupid in stop- start traffic.
Then comes the shifts 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 gives the same feeling as a slipping clutch , lets say shift point is 2100 RPM, it will pick up to 2100 and instead of just dropping the the rpm to where it should be in the next gear it first picks up about 200 rpm and then drops.
Anyone have any idea why all of this is happening?
On the 45k service I asked Barons Bruma to check it out, gave them the symptoms. They did a software update and adaptation. Car now creeps forward like it should, the changes are now smooth again and even changes a bit faster. No 200 rpm hike before the next gear whilst on a light throttle.

Re: Polo 6c Thread
Thanks TURBULENCE, guess mine will have to go for software update.
Well fun now started in a different way, driving in higher gears now at about 80 to 100 in 7th, gradually pick up speed and the car becomes an ox wagon, no smooth pick up with rev needle jumping to higher rpm instead of just gliding.
I'm seriously hoping that its just a case of bad plugs and a need for a good oil service.

Polo 6c Thread
Hey guys am new here,
I am thinking of buying a 2014 Polo 1.2TSi Comfortline i just wanted some insight as i will use the car to do work related things. My question is, is it reliable, how much are the normal services. I’ve heard of people paying 32K for bad turbos etc should i be worried or get the N/A Polo ?
Will be doing roughly 3K KMS per month

Epic bud. Just some lekker lows and you go to go.neil_fladderak wrote:Howzit Guys, i Just joined this forum recently and have seen some awesome polo 6c's out there.
