Branch might help for smoother power delivery but I dont think it is going to increase the power.

was thinking of a 57 mm exhaust but on a 1.4i how would that turn out , also heard alot about different types of branches from different places that fit them some are cheaper than others the salesmen say that some are bent or pressed differently to give better exhaust gas flow at the bends or curves , can anyone shed some light on this as i am confused because powerflow in town has the branch called brospeed for about 1700 alone and another powerflow has the complete branch and exhaust for about 2500 but the guy says he builds his own branches that is why he is so affordable

@ thiren still waiting to hear ur new exhaust bro

thank you

57mm is too big for your 1.4i bro,a bra of mine has 50 into 57 on his 1.4i but then again he has a cam and a uni q. If you not going to be doing other mods just put a 50mm zorst. Swing by anytime after work bro i will give you a demo. It sounds wicked

the 1.4i stock exh mani is 4-2-1 and the size is just fine... you'd actually be surprised at how efficient it is already..
Just go see bradley at flowtech, tell him Solo sent you.

50mm free flow - nice system, and extra ching in your pocket.

During all my research with exhaust systems and all the custom exhausts that I have built ive seen a couple of results that are so far from the expected results its unreal. We have seen a massive power gain on a 1.4i motor with a set of custom branches that had primaries so big that most people wouldnt even put it on a modified 16v.

For a stock 1.4i I would keep the stock cast mani and do a downpipe section and a 50mm all the way.

We did a 57mm on a serious ABF with dice throttles and a Francois Louw head and it made 252Nm. Its the most torque ever made at dynotech with a 2l motor on 95 octane.

50mm is perfect for a 1.4i
8vT 187.2kW and 361Nm

to all the guys that went to flowtech to get their exhausts done, do they fit a resonator to eliminate the drone or must i ask them to fit one , and heard that the citirox has a oxygen sensor by the cat will they remove that when fitting the freeflow anyone had a citirox and has some experience with this

thank you

Thry should not remove the sensor as that will create problems. On a normal citi they do not fit a resonator

They will probably know not to remove the sensor, but go speak to them and ask exactly how they go about when doing a freeflow on a citi. But in my opinion you are overthinking this

good day noob to the forum pls excuse.

own a citi golf 2005. fitted a 2.1l 8v with 45mm throttles. got other mods on the motor u name it. 4-1 branch and 57mm exhaust. been driving her for 5 years no issues wAs just wondering if I could fit 50mm exhaust as I really really like the sound it gives.

a buddy got it on his 1.6I velo with a 276 cam it really gets my hart jumping when I hear him drive. I've heard and read that's not advisable for cars makin more than 129 kw.

advice pls
2e cross flow itb 45mm 2.1 and u name it.
