Citi Golf 2004 Hazard Malfunction.

Post by Psytist »

I have a Citi Golf 2004 1400 carb. And about 2 month's ago my hazards seems to have a mind of its own, it comes on and goes off by itself repeatedly whilst driving or when car is parked. i have been to numerous auto electricians and they all say its the black box. now it dont make much sense to me why its happening though. i dont have R2000 to spend on a new box if its going to do the same thing eventually. Is there no alternative fix to this common problem with these golfs?

I have the same problem on a 2008 Citi 1.4i. I also changed the Hazard switch.. But Hazards still go on randomly. I even disconnected the Hazard switch for a week and still went on randomly..

Weird thing is that VCDS does not pick up any faults with the bordnetz..
