Downpipe on 1.4 Tsi

Post by blaaislaai »

I wanna upgrade to stage2 software, and thus need a downpipe.

Want to know if the exhaust note changes after the downpipe will be fitted? Do not want the car to be loud at all.
Current:
2010 Golf 6 TSI 90kw Comfortline [Stage2 tuned]+[Forge DV Spacer]+[K&N induction] and downpipe

If you keep the stock center box, the car will be quiet.

Anybody have an idea where to find a downpipe? No one in CPT seems to have pre-made ones for this engine.
It seems like someone must custom make one?

Bump

Powerflow exhausts can build one, will 63mm be enough? I know 76mm will be a bit too big for my 1.4

You will have to source someone to make one up.

This is stg2 Revo with 63mm DP - I had no centre box though but the size is perfect : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BJc2xQG6Go

I think that he has the turbo only 1.4TSI, 90kW, judging from his signature. I am not sure if 63mm will be too big. The turbo boys should be able to answer this.

Not worth it on the 90kw, take the resonator out if you looking for sound.

Well you cant expect GTI gains but you are looking at around 25HP and 40NM

Hey all,

I have a 2013 Golf 7 1.4 TSI comfortline. As you know this pushes out 90kw stock. What I have done is fit a K&N flat bed filter, fitted a bigger downpipe from original 57 to 63mm obviously decatted in the process and then also had the whole exhaust redone to 63mm pipes (removing middle silencer) which pushed up my kw just a tad bit. Once I had a custom ECU remap done, I am not getting out 113.1kw according to my dyno sheet.

If you dont want your car to sound loud, then keep the mid silencer. Also Pro-Fit custom makes the downpipe if you are still looking for one :) I had mine done there. You will just have to fit a lambda fooler to fool the ECU into thinking that the cats are still there.

Hope this helps

All the best XxX

Leko86 seeing you are a bit new to this let me give you a hint. Click on the person's name that made that last post. There you will see some things like when they was last active. That person was last active in november 2016 so it is quite unlikely that you are going to get an answer on your question.
