9n Polo Fog Light Dash Light/Indicator

I have never seen or heard of this, my brother says the fog light indicator on his dash in his 9n Polo 1.6 goes on and off intermittantly even though he never uses the fog lights. Anybody seen or heard of this before? Dodgy fog light bulb? I'll pop a picture up now that he sent me...

Strange. Should only come on when the rear fogs are active.

Yip that the light from rear fog

does the fog light go on at the back when light is on? might be faulty switch then.///

I rate scan it with VCDS first, A faulty brake light switch makes the Glow Plug light flash

Will ask him, I haven't seen the car since he told me about this...

Thats when the switch is pulled all the way back or on cars with no front fogs, pulled back once

If it is flashing intermittently, its either a faulty switch or loose connection

To remove the switch to inspect, try this

Hi Gents and Girls
any outcome on this? I see my Fog light dash indicator goes on and off(intermediate), do I replace the switch?
One thing that I have notice is that the dash light even goes on if the switch is set to the park lights as well
