The original is cracked so I thought I might as well upgrade to a stubby. Does anyone know where I can find one locally?

Any info will be appreciated.

How long did u have to wait?

Got a quote from vw now for R305 (incl VAT) for the 6R antenna excluding base plate.

Is the 6R a direct fit on my citi rox? Need to be sure as they will order it for me, unless the citroen comes through

Im almost sure in your case you are not using the proper Amplified module that needs to be used in the polo with aftermarket headunits.

Yes it may affect reception, but more importantly a potential thief may stuff up your roof panel trying to remove it so think carefully before doing so...

Turns out Citroen PE sell these for R260 each! Maybe they're solid gold now?

If anyone has a cheaper source, please let me know.

Thanks

I paid R180 inclusive last year for the 6R antenna from Hoopers VW in Durban. Using it on our Qashqai SUV as the OEM antenna was the long whip antenna that used to catch at the top of the garage door.

I paid R52 for the Citroen antenna which I am using on my 9N.

It's ridiculous that Citroen PE want R260 for the exact same thing.

Did you buy yours from a Citroen dealership?

The parts guy asked what car I need it for so he could be increasing the price on purpose, but I doubt it.

I got mine from the Citroen dealership in Durban. I went there with the part number and asked their parts dept to order me one since they dont keep these in stock. They received it in around 3 days from ordering. Even the guy who ordered it for me was surprised at the cost of the antenna and on which car I was buying it for. Its screws on perfectly to the OEM VW antenna base.

You sure about that bud? I just phoned citroen in fourways. The part is R47 so I ordered one for my mk5. It should arrive tomorrow.

EDIT: As promised by Citroen, the part arrived before 1pm. Collected, fitted and working!!!

I finally got the replacement stubby from Citroen. Problem is it doesn't screw right down to the antenna base, leaving a gap in-between.

Am I doing something wrong?
