Did anyone find out if the vivo is exactly the same as 6r suspension or is it just the front and we need 9n3 rear suspension??

I have a 2015 polo vivo gt, I really feel like getting a nice 17 mag rims though I'm a bit skeptical if the 17 inch mag rims won't damage my suspension. What consequences must I expect by fitting 17 inch mag rims on my bby? What must I take into consideration b4 buying a set of mags?

17" wheels will make the car slower... 15" wheels are easier to look low with..

15" wheels and 17" wheels have the cheapest tyres around.

putting wheels on won't damage your suspension ... hitting a pothole hard with a low profile tyre will damage your wheel almost definitely and could possible damage your suspension..

I beg to differ.

Trying to close wheel gap on a smaller diameter wheel with smaller profile tyres , is nearly always limited by your undercarriage. So it's easy to "look" low with the larger 17s. :)

Vivo suspension = 6R suspension.
6R suspension has the same rear as the 9n3.

There's quite a bit of information on the forum regarding this but probably not exactly what your looking for.

17s won't damage your suspension but potholes and poor road conditions say otherwise. Your tyre and wheels will take most of the impact but that entirely depends if your gonna hit a crater - then yes your suspension will be effected.

Considerations:
1. 17s no drop = 4x4 stance
2. Poor ride quality
3. Cabin noise
4. Potholes on low profiles are archenemies for many of decades ( 4 x side walls punctures and 1 x refurb's to date )

BUT in the end your ride looks sweet. My preference after 3 years on 17s is probably to move now to 16s.

I think he's referring to wheel bearings, a lot of people think 17's eat wheel bearings on mk1's for example.

I think what he's getting at is that the car will automatically be lower with 15's, but man a polo with 15's and low profile tyres would look tos verby  17's fill the wheel arches much nicer.

17's are the way to go on polo's in my opinion.

You need these bits, which I am conveniently selling:

I even have the fire extinguisher bracket for the boot:

It has the required rubber bands but you would need to source your own snap nuts and screws to mount (I can give you the part numbers)

Also have the upper dash binnacle available:

The Polo 6R has the exact same setup suspension wise as the Vivo though, so a Polo 6R JOM kit fits perfectly on a Vivo with no Mods required.
So when its said it requires modification on the top mounts what modification exactly, like in change of front shock mounts or what??
