Couldnt find a recent thread on this, read a few horror stories though :???:

Thanks for the reply gents,

@Shaun, this is also an option - might space the wheels out nicely.

Who does this though and what price am I looking at?

I would rather use adapters myself, I have changed PCD on hubs on a Caddy I owned from 4x100 to 5x100 but prefer leaving things as they were intended...

compared to changing the pcd of every nice wheel you want to fit it's a bargain

Okay so i spoke to Maugene engineering

R350per adapter, R1500 including studs and bolts

PCD change on the rim R1200

I dont mind spending a little bit extra if adapters are the better option...?
Also the S3 rim specs are 7.5J ET56, maybe the adapters (20mm or 30mm available) will space it out nicely?

Opinions?

If you're going to make PCD Adapters, they'll actually be custom for your car and rim fitment. They need to have spigots to both locate the adapter to the hub, and to locate the rim to the adapter. So if you have the option to change the rim, i'd say go for this rather, as it's cheaper and easier, although you'd still need to make sure that the hub-size is the same.

You just make the adapters to fit the hub and have the same spigot on the outside, then using spigot rings you can adjust the spigot size of the adapter to suit any wheel :hi:

Unless it's smaller than the hub :hi:

But yes, it's just something to keep in mind. We made my first set with no spigots at all ... and to say it was a disaster is an understatement. But that's all sorted now  Magsta :hi:

So just make it smaller on the wheel side the stock size surely?

I couldn't see myself changing the PCD of every wheel I wanted to fit...unless the offset prevents adapters
