Part Number: Mechanical Clutch arm for cabel shift gearbox.

Post by 1.8iblackie »

Hi Folks.

About 2 years ago someone on the forum supplied me with a part number for the mechanical clutch arm that was used on the Seat's that can be used in place of a hydraulic clutch setup on a cable shift gearbox.

I really need this part number. Ive been to VW Claremont, Bellville and Tabelview and none can help me.

Jetta2 had such an arm, but he advised against it.
His thread also contains a few pointers for the hydro setup.

On mine I built a bracket on the steering column for the master from a Golf4 (I think) it's not that bad, then you just need the pip to connect the master to the slave, and trust me, all that effort is worth it!
the clutch is pure porn, mutch better than any mechanical I've felt.

I have one in a storage box in the garage somewhere. I can dig it up tomorrow and see what the number is. Also couldn't get it from local dealers. Got mine from someone in Germany, iirc.

Have a look at the following thread for part numbers. They're not marked on the part I have:

Here's the items I have. Got the cable mount bracket with it as well.
