OK, broke down and bought another ^$&*#@^#$*@!!! cable. Was not winning with the cheapy ones, using HEX one, sorted quick.
Anyway, if anyone Randburg/Rosebank site needs coding...
Also will consider loaning it out for a couple days so folks have a solution to just that which I found myself in, just not sure how to ensure I get it back after...

Hey guys...

Anyone that can tell me what's the cheapest one can get one of these cables for. I've searched and find many a cable on E-Bay but am a bit weary of them cables. Besides for the cable itself, what else will I need to be able to edit my vehicles software?

Do you have JB1 and / or intake?
Most likely overboost.

Had a racechip ultimate but took it out after my turbo blew. So the car it's running without any chip but I have a downpipe (never had any issues before with a downpipe). But now on hard acceleration car just go into limp mode. If it's overbooost how do I fix that. Oh the catalytic converter light is on

Hi All

I am trying to find a DSG reset/calibration procedure using VCDS, for this vehicle. It seems to be unsure when changing from 2nd to 1st and vise versa with a jerk.

Regards
Razak

I am sure one can do this, on the tiguan it would also not work. But after fiddle a bit it is working.
Sometimes the modules go into sleep mode, just cycle the key or press lock and unlock a few times on the door to bring the module back.

HI

Hope someone can help. I will need someone that is good with programing/coding near Germiston.

I bought a 2011 Passat that did not want to switch on at all. So I thought the easiest way to solve the problem is to buy a lockset from a scrapyard. After the I replaced the lockset the switched on but does not want to start. When I putt power to starter it will start and then die ( thinking immobilizer ). When I press the start button it will power the starter for a second and then stop.

The only deference between the lockset that I bought and the one that was in my car is the start stop button with keyless entry originally in my car.

I do have a Vag 11.11 china cable but lost the software and cant find a download link so cant even scan for errors.

Don't think this is going to be an easy fix but have to start somewhere.

tough one and personally i would start where you are starting, get a cable from HEX and do it right one time.. R4k to see where and how but start a new thread where more people can look at it and give advice. Also speak to Panic Mechanic, he might have had a problem like this before since he is like 100000 years old :troll: :troll: :troll:

Thanks, got the car to start with new lockset, the plugs from the key reader and the slipring is the same and was turned around. :bang:

Now I have no gears think the gearbox must be match with the new lockset. Error is no communication with gear selector.

Also no electric windows or interior lights. Looks like I have to take it to VW.
