MK5 Jetta 2.0 TDI Oil pressure warning

Hi Everyone
Yesterday dropped off the SO and waited for her in the Jet listening to the radio. At one stage the radio switched off and then immediately on again, so thought nothing of it. Then drove off and after about 4km the alarms went off and an error message came on saying "STOP Oil pressure engine off", so I immediately pulled over and switched off. I checked oil level, it is fine, no leaks etc. Tried starting her again but the error kept on popping up. Check some wiring in the engine bay and after buggering around for about 5 minutes, got in again and she started as if nothing happened. Drove home (another 5km) without problems.
Let her stand for a while, checked the plug on the oil sensor on the filter housing, seems fine. Checked in general and saw that one of the water pipes was routed incorrectly underneath the airbox (car was serviced by VW a week or two ago), so I corrected this. started her up, all fine. Let her idel for a while and then after a few minutes she died. Started her again and after a minute or so she died again. As I tried to start her the errors popped up again and the dashboard did a christmas tree trick again. As this point I collected the fuel to burn it down, but rather locked up and left her to cool down. Checking on the center console, going into the "diag mode", the RPM seems to show 0 and the oil pressure also, even when I run on the starter a bit and get her running again. Usually she starts on the first turn, but when the errors comes up, she struggles a bit to start.
Anyway, later came out again, started her and she was back to normal. Pulled half way into the garage so I have lights, and check some of the wiring again and also some of the earth points. Disconnected the battery for a while, connected back up. started up again, everything normal. Went for a test drive, no problem.
Did some research on the web and tdiclub.com and it seems to mostly relate to either wiring or sensors, or actual oil pump failure. Thing is, the engine sounds normal, no noisy tappets or anything.
This morning everything back to normal I drove to the SO's work (10kms), and as we turned in so I could drop her off the christmas lights thing happened again. I switched off and pulled off again. Struggled a bit to get her started and drove for about 200m to where I drop the SO off. The warning message came on again but then disappeared as she started, but the oil level indicator still flashed and the check engine light stays on. At this point I should mention that the emissions check light has been on for a while, due to the intake flat valve being faulty. Not sure but I don't think this is related, since I have had that warning for about 3000km already, and it is only used for emissions control according to the web.
Anyway, switched her off, and dropped the wife off, waited for her to unlock and then started again. Same mission, lights etc on, but engine sounds fine. Drove the further 800m to my work and parked her.
So at this stage, any advice? The revcounter dies and the oil pressure or level warning stays on when this happens, but the car drove fine for the 800m. Does anyone know if there are more then one oil pressure sensor I can check?
