Hey guys,

I drive a '13 PGTi 6R with DRL's & a buddy of mine drives a Polo highline 6C that does not have the xenon headlamps fitted.

Can the coming home/going home( not sure on the exact name) feature be enabled on these cars with vagcom?

Cheers!

Think you need the lights and vision package but I could be mistaken.

Howsit guys,

I replaced a fuse on my 6r Pgti because the interior and DRL lights didn't want to come on due to me incorrectly connecting the LEDs.

Everything seems to be fine now, except for my interior lights that are blinking.

How do I correct this problem? Is it a fault that can be resolved using VCDS??

Thanks,

Usually has to do with the bulb being canbus compatible.

hey guys.. im new here. i have a polo 6 1600cc 2009 ..

I want to make some modifications like rims and springs..

I dont know which springs should i buy.. i dont like the cars which are too low.. i think 20/20mm would be fine.. Are there any springs with these measures?

Do you know whats the difference between a normal polo and wrc polo ?

Thanks :)

The VW/Eibach is your type 25mm drop, from dealer R2400 add about R1000 for fitment.

The deference is nearly all mechanical and structural parts a bespoke to wrc models.

Howzit Guys. Currently driving a 2011 1.6 comfortline as my signature. Have this set of 17's. Forgiato rims. Looking to drop the car. Want to put the VW approved Eibach springs but not sure what drop to go for. Don't want it too low. Any advise on what to look out for? Reason i'm looking to do this is because I need to change the shocks as the dealer advised shocks are leaking when I took it for 150 000kms service recently. Rather drop the car one time instead of just doing shocks.

Apologies, don't know how to upload pics yet. Image

Anyone know where I can get the OEM VW Eibach Springs?

Called Barons Bellville and the Parts Dept indicated that they dont supply the springs anymore as it impacts the warranty. Anyone hear of this?

Phone a different VW dealership. Barons bellville is a bunch of morons. Try Culemborg or even West Cape VW in Kuilsriver.

Re: Polo 6R Thread

Hi guys, I'm new here.

Looking to have my 2011 Polo 1.6 6R taken for its 90k service. The last time I had a service, I was told that the next service I need to replace my cambelt. While shopping around for quotes, a guy from car service city told me that my car has a chain, and not a cambelt. This is a little confusing. The guy from VW hatfield said I need to do a cambelt service last year..

I'm also trying not to get ripped off here. So VW Hatfield quoted me R2040 or so for my 90k service, and when I enquired about the cam belt, they said around R4300 for it

Car service city quoted me R1895.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

All 6R polos are chain driven. I did my 90k service in May 2016 and was never told twak like that. Take it to another stealership, Im in PTA and I prefer the VW in Hatfield.
