Only a matter of time before they start making Helios Reps in 4x100.
That's if they have not started making them already.
Then all the "Mk1" Golfs will be rolling with them.

Personally I think 19's on a Polo 6R is overkill.

Hi Guys
a friend of mine has a 6r polo1.4 comfort, his OEM radio died so he took it to VW to get it fixed.
its been there over two weeks now, today he gets a call that the radio cannot be fixed and the car is still under warranty but the warranty cannot cover for the new radio... on top of that they want R800 for storage... is it possible that the warranty can decline to cover new radio>?

Yes- Read the policy wording....... IIRC, our Polo's only come out with a 1 year warranty on the radio.

Mine was done before I bought the car. I think it is around R1500 at the most.

I haven't done the 15k service, but I did get an oil and filter change done after 2k km's run in (cos I felt like it :???: )

That cost R600... 15k service should be oil and filters, between R1200 and R1800 I think, different stealers have different prices... Check their websites for service specials.

I too would like the polo lip shown above

Hi, I paid 1200 for my 15000 km service and 1800 for the 30k one. Oh and before I forget I ordered my springs on Monday and was promised delivery tomorrow but now got no money for installation. Will wait for pay day though.

I was quoted around R2600 in Durban at Weiss Stamford Hill. So at R4300 for the Eibach's including fitment, I am rather going to put in a little extra and get coillies. A friend just bought a new 6R similar to mine. He got silver with red leather and pano roof. Had VW fit the EIbachs and he has a 17inch Helios rep. The car looks nice with that wheel, but the drop is barely noticeable.

I am saving to get VMaxx height adjustables. Called a place in PMB for a price. They R4500 excl fitment. Sets that are damper adjustable or R7500.

Im worried that if I get springs I am going to want more low...so rather have options to adjust.

I also got quoted by Weiss, but in toti. R1300 fitment i could do though...
Won't coilies void the warranty? I don't want to void mine as I plan to extend it since I do high mileage...probably going to need wheel bearings at some point thanks to the roads.

With springs at R1800 + R1300 labour = R3100 + warranty it seems ok, but if voiding, i'd go with H&R springs for about R2400 + supa quik labour R600 = R3000.

Not that I can find stock of the rims I want anyway

All the VW's I called said the warranty is gone even if you fit VW springs at VW. Idiots. Why sell the springs in the first place. If I have a major issues with suspension and send the car for a possible warranty thing, I will have Volksie do a swop before sending the car to VW.

Eish. Weiss toti told me that the warranty will be intact, IF they fit the springs...

Yup, that's the rim Dookie, there's also a gunmetal version, which I wanted, but I would even take that black one and get it resprayed
