I wonder if anyone managed to get that working, as the gotech also has an 2-wire idle control function...
You can wire the idle control through GPO2. The idle motor is pin1 and pin2 on the throttle body. It does take a bit of time to get setup right, but works good.
That's good news.
I'll connect mine up and try to set it up.

panic-mechanic wrote:Ok finally got around to giving this a try and guess what - it works just fine. Seems the idle motor is a pwm device and it works just hunky dory being controlled by the 2 wire idle setup on the xms4and 5. There is a white and black wire on the tps plug. Black for the 12v and white to the aux for the idle motor. Think they are oins 1 and 2
I also found a magnetic pickup form Gw for the agg and ady blocks and most likely abf too that fits with no mods and is R385. Will post their part number for it tonight. Got the box at home.

hi i am bringing this topic back to life hahaha because I am having a bit of an issue with the set up , minute i enable idle control it all goes bongers the car struggles to idle and is very rich and dies.

i am following the set up from the manual but was wondering if i should only have the idle control en. box ticked and untick the fuel extrap en and afr enable boxes , like the picture they show. thanks

which xms do you have. Do you have lambda installed. Have you got lambda targets in the idle section.
What does your manifold pressure look like wher it idels. How many sites does it span. Are you keeping the timing constant?
Sooo many variables tht it's not a simple answer.
Getting idle motors to work takes months and months to work exactly right
Take a screenshot of the f10 screen
Need to know what is in there too.
