CeeTwo.

It's not even 10 minutes job. Very easy if you have the stock wiring still installed in the engine bay. Just connect pin 4 (blue and black wire) from the dicktator to the old distributor plug middle pin in the engine bay (red and yellow wire) that is if the plugs is still intact to your old wiring in the car.

Ok, not really, looks like i have some issues. Everything was working like a boss, when suddenly the dash started to make a buzzing noise. and then the Petrol gauge stopped working. So i removed the New wire and still nothing is working. I suspect that the wire to the coil might have been a bit loose and this caused a short and popped some fuses, or thats what i hope. will let you guys know of my findings.

must be loose wire there buddy. check fuses and ensure all wires are always insulated. check behind your cluster as well, just incase.

Good info on this thread. I did a mp9 conversion on my caddy and now the rev counter also don't work - think the wire on the coil negative might be the problem?

Yip this is how you do it, easy when you left the existing wires in place.

If you go direct to the cluster control box there is two yellow red wires
One is temp sender and one is for the rev counter...

Simple test from there to see which is for which

Or you could bring it to me and I'll do it at the price of lunch lol

Howsit Guys,

I have the same issue, I did Conversion of 2005 citi carb to FI and used/still using old GOTECH MFI.
Ive also lost rev counter...
I have the new dash/cluster.

Basically just need to know if i can also connect middle wire from distributor (connected to Gotech loom) to the ex middle distributor wire?

Will this work? Can you have it share the signal for the Gotech and Cluster Rev gauge?

If anyone has done this please shed some info..

Many thanks

Ok still not got the rev counter working... It's an old carb model caddy fitted with MP9 system - computer box, mp9 coil and engine loom. The old TCI and distributor plug was taken out. So I could not find the old red/yellow wire on the dissy... What do I need to do to get the rev counter working?

Good day All

Ive been reading up on this rev-counter thing and my head is buzzing

I have a 2008 citi rox and running a ABF on standard Dictator everything is working on the cluster except for the ref-counter and its been bugging me to hell

As i understand on the new dash i sould take the tacho out pin7 on the TP100 and connect that straigt into the cluster. is this the correct way to do it

new dash does not have a TP100, for the new dash tap into the centre wire of the distributor for rev signal
