I've got a hybrid gearbox in my GT, AEN gear ratios and FFZ final drive - makes for a nice short ratio gearbox:

FFZ Ratios - 3.46/1.94/1.37/1.03/0.85 and final drive 3.94
AEN Ratios - 3.46/2.12/1.44/1.13/0.85 and final drive 3.67

1st and 5th is the same, 2nd, 3rd and 4th is better spaced.

@Torker but which 1 would be better cause I have a AEN box would a FFZ box be faster?

FFZ Speeds:

AEN Speeds:

From the above you can see that the FFZ got the shorter 1st gear and 3rd gear but the longer 2nd gear - I would say that apart from the less than ideal 2nd gear the FFZ would be the better option for short sprints. The long 5th gear in the AEN is more geared towards saving fuel than performance.

Thanx Torker
I'll stick with the AEN because from 1st to 4th it looks close but I need the longer 5th for my everyday driving.

What went wrong in my AEN then i dont know cause that thing was kak!
Short sprints were awesome but 5 gear at 120km/h @ nearly 4000rpm!

I now have a FFZ and is alot better 120km/h @ 3500rpm!
Lil more legs in the mid range gears tho.

My ffz box is like this. 120km/h (on the clock) and I'm at 3500 rpm, 120 true speed and I'm at 4k rpm. Top out at +-175km/h on a straight.

from those 2 graphs i see teh AEN is
faster in all gears.

teh lower teh number of teh gear & diff
teh longer teh gearing & diff ratio.
teh higher then teh opposite.
FFZ is a nice ratio for std & mild tuned cars.
For hi output engines go with longer ratios

a FFZ with a 3.67 final ratio......hmmmm i wonder.
Sud go well with some beeg torque.Anyone?

After Poy built me a close ratio box (AEN gears and FFZ final drive) he used the stuff left over to built me a box with FFZ gears and AEN (3.67) final drive. I sold it to aarchaic on the forum and he put it in his Jetta - he was looking for a more relaxed drive and he is very happy with it.

This is what Poy built for me

3.45 1st 2.12 2nd 1.44 3rd 1.13th and 0.85 5th

Final drive ratio is 4.25

Diff bolt kit

Vereway limmited slip diff

Overshift stoppers on 3rd and 4th, not so sure what these are for.

Pre load and backlash is done perfectly to 5kg, whatever that means or do

Rose joint adjustable short shifter kit

FFZ will be better as it has more torque to get you off the line. but you will run out of legs on longer runs.

with 195 / 50 - 15 wheels at 4000 rpm these are the speeds you should get

Std FFZ - 129.65km/h
Std AEN - 132.94km/h
FFZ gears AEN Final Drive - 139.19km.h
