Have you tried changing the rotar? My golf did something similar when I had it. changed the rotar and it started on the first swing.

Hows your fuel pump?

Like above... You are shooting in the dark by simply replacing stuff and spending money on stuff that you have no idea if they are broken or not.

Make sure you get spark... make sure that the timing is correct and make sure that you are getting fuel. If those 3 are there the car should start.

Do you have a laptop ? can you connect it to the management and is it seeing the management and is the management seeing your inputs ?

Why would the timing suddenly go out for no reason? What makes you suspect that the timing is out?

Set your timing marks to TDC and the rotor pointing to Cylinder 1, that will be close enough to get the car to start. Check the timing 1st before you undo anything.

He was driving and all of a sudden it stopped and didn't whant to start again.. could be that the cambelt slipped a couple of teeth/ Timing out car won't start. It happens.

If there is fuel and there is spark then there is something wrong with the timing.. First have a look at the timing marks like Torker said then if that is correct you'll need to have a look at what the management is doing.

True, it could be timing, but wow something odd must be wrong for the timing to just change on it's own. Cam Belt stretched, worn badly, Dizzy not tightened.... But if everything is in working order your timing should not change on it's own.

Loose crank pulley? Maybe the key sheared off on the crank nose? You have to pull of the covers to see whats happening on the pulley.

Take the cam covers off .. I agree it's most likly the key that is buggered.. There was a Jig floating around in the club to drill and insert dowels on the crank nose.

PS to get that crank nut loose is a b%$ch at times !
