Hi folks,
So I've found that the hooter on my car isn't working when I press the button. However upon hooking a direct connection up to the battery I found that the hooter does in fact work. I've read a couple of forums discussing this issue and have trouble shooted the various fixes such as checking the earth wire at the end of the steering rack on the engine side of the firewall, and checking the fuse. both seem to be fine. I have noticed that this car is without a relay for the horn. Not sure if that's the problem or whether or not it is a necessity to have it. I also tried to trace the wiring from the horn to the button on the steering wheel but it seems like the wires change in colour code from the fuse box so I can't say for certain which wires are responsible for the function of the horn. By method of deduction I assume that the 4 pinned plug on the left side of the steering rack is for the horn. I've tried bridging each connection hoping the horn would sound, but got nothing.
Kinda stuck atm so any help would be appreciated.
