Key Transponder problem

Post by casperjjordaan »

Hi guys. I am on the West Rand, having a serious problem. My 9N key (I only have one) was terribly worn down. I bought a new key (non original) and got it cut today. Then, when I came home I tried to remove the Transponder from the old key, and it broke. Now, Im stuck. I cannot start the car. Wtf am I to do now?

PLEASE HELP!

You need to get a new transponder chip and fit it to the new key

You then need to get someone to come out and code the key to the car

Buy a key from a scrap yard for the transponder chip, fit it into the new cut key then call a locksmith to get it coded for u.. (the shop u got the key cut at might be able to recode it as well, or know of somebody who can)

Thanks guys. I did not buy anything. I phoned Florida Locksmith. They've got everything you'll even need. Came to my house, programmed 2 transponders for me into the 9N's ECU. All for under R1300 bucks! These okes knows their story. I'll support them all the way!
