Portes and gasflowed head
Is this forum still active? I just have 1 question. I have a vw 1.4 gemtec head which is ported and gasflowed by Fransie's headworks. And this is the second time i installed it on my 1.6 block but the number 2 exhaust valve keep breaking. This time i put new valves etc etc the head was overhauled and pressure tested for leaks and it was good. So after installing the head the car started and idled and then just drove out and back in the yard and then the valve broke.. any ideas on y this number 2 exhaust valve keeps breaking? And it breaks right on top by the keeper

Re: Portes and gasflowed head
Well it's hard to give an opinion on the cause of failure that don't venture into wild conjecture.
The reasons for your problem can be related to a large number of factors that might not even be related to the head, you haven't said what other mods are done to the motor that could be related.
