Sup gents,
Trust you all are well.
I'm looking at replacing my air flow metre on my vehicle - due to financial constraints , I left with no option but to buy second hand from a scrap or a brand I've never heard of.
My question, has there been anyone that has used the Bremi brand ?
If so, should this be something I should look at purchasing .
The car is stock now(ignore previous posts about it having a minor tune) and will be tuned once I get all the little issues out of the way - so even with tuning, will this Bremi Brand suffice ?
FYi
Vemo is OE - R2450 from goldwagen
Bremi Is after market - R1290 or so from goldwagen
Scrapyard second hand original R1K roughly.
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks gents.
Deon.

Re: Vemo VS BREMI AFM GOLF 6 GTi
I've used bremi and still have it on my car.
Doesn't work for me, it jerks when the car is moving at idle, and makes the clutch engage all weird(DSG). Either then that the car runs fine with the bremi MAF. As I didn't want to damage the trans, I disconnected it.
Upon investigating the bremi unit, it's missing a few components like a resistor or sensor that sits outside compared to the Bosch.
I think it does work but not as well as OE.

I wouldn’t get the second hand option as it could fail a day after installing it and you would’ve wasted your money, The MAF plays such an important role in performance of the car I’d say go with a higher quality brand and brand new , I learnt this the hard way threw away two cheap MAFS , ending buying the Borsch from Goldwagen and worked out but shop around between Goldwagen’s to get the best price also check out Goldwagen deleray they can ship it

The car was heavier on fuel , rather get it working 100% before you tune it

I couldn't disagree with you.
I'm definitely going get the VEMO (oe) brand and safe guard myself and more importantly the vehicle .
Thanks again for your response .
