1.8T agu forged rods

Post by JogiahMk4 »

I may or may not have bent my rods on my agu , what are some cost effective forged rod options, not looking for crazy power , around maybe 230 hp at a later stage after the rebuild . I'm in durban , what's the estimated price on just the rods

I would assume from 5/6k to around 10k.
Many brands on the market. Try and shop around now before you pay retail.

Rand us doing much better against the dollar. So prices should be better than few months ago

Maxpeedingrods sells for around 5k. The usual IE, PEC and the likes around the 9 to 10k mark these days. Also check FB marketplace, you may just pick up a used set for half that price.

Any local shops that import maxspeeding rods at a decent price ? Alot are asking for 8k . Wouldn't mind a used set but those are really hard to come by . Thanks for the suggestions

My preferred importer is Jerry from Import Parts.
I see there is a guy call induna motorsports based in dbn that is bringing in some nice parts also, so find him on IG or FBK and check with him.
