(Help) MK7R Software ??

Post by Dino_Rox »

Hi Members not sure where to post , i am in need of some assistance please.
i recently felt the urge to do software install and DP on my 7R.

the guy i went with left a sour taste behind , ( TunedTronix in Horison Roodepoort , wow what a knob)

After flashing Stage 2 with Rice Krispies -
- My consumption went crazy (really ... beleive me i dont drive hard all the time )
i took the car back and the guy says Stage is fuel intense ??? anyway he has since flashed it to Stage 1 .

Stage 1 now doesnt seem like the car is shifting as it did before
- the gear changes are hard
- the DSG Farts are not the same or not there at all
- randomly the gear goes into like a limp mode or doesnt go beyond 4000 rpm and i get a start stop error

anyway please help me with someone who can return my software back to stock

i would also prefer not to use VAG MOTORSPORT since the recent post with a guys Scirroco R.

many thanks in advance .

After all of the messing around by that shop I'm sure you're over it all.

I say give Thanas a shout and get the car properly tuned to perform reliably and correctly to put all of the bad experices in the past and actually manage to enjoy the car.

It's a shame when map flashing jockeys want to act like they are tuners but they can't actually tune cars which results in issues like you have faced.

This car was flashed on 31st October 2020 by me stage 2 with pops and bangs/Crackle Map and dsg tuning. We also scanned the car before and logging with vagcom with only airbag fault. Anyway he was complaining about the fuel consumption and we wrote a stage 1 file for him at no extra cost 2 weeks later and I had to go to his place of residence from the beginning. He did mention something about the dsg changing but when we took it for a test drive there was no issue and he still said I must have done something, got that proof on the video while testing. Regarding the rice crispies he only had downpipe on, so if he wanted it louder he should have taken out the resonator or back box delete. We do our files locally and local support now 6 months later he is complaining here without contacting me to see if there was any problem so that we could solve it. I'm not writing the files myself but my file provider which is local and write himself with local support has alot of knowledge and experience on the MK7 platform. Also I have done plenty of these with no issues or any problems and they still going strong. Dino you could just have brought the car so that we can see what the problem was but no, you go and rant on groups which I only saw now and you did this six months later
. Apologies for the long story but just wanted to give my feedback as well.

This is why you don't use random tuners... Stick to the guys with established track records and decent aftersales
