2010 Golf 6 GTi Mass air flow Metre

Post by deon rupnarain »

Suo gents ,

I'm about to pop an outrageous request ,

Anybody has a second hand working airflow meter that I can use before I actually purchase a brand new one.

Problems;

Car is super heavy on juice and some fuel throws out the exh on idle. I'm concerned .I want to fix this up but before I do , I wana know if anyone had a second hand afm or even theirs to test on my vehicle .
Vag tool also picked up an error and ecu light on .

On that note can I remove o2 sensor , clean and put back ? Or buy a new one as well ??

Vehicle has dp and exh. I dont have previous owners details as I bought from stealership . Car does move quick and I cannot tell whether it has a file or not. I did gauge a buddy's of mine that has atom, dp , exh and a stealth tuned file and there is no comparison to mine.....his is just dam quick but when he drives mine he said I could have a mile file....wtf isthis a mile file ?
Anyhow....any help welcome on the AFM request .

Durban kzn.

Thanks

Just an update ,

My mechanic was working on a golf 6 gti that had no faults on the vagtool, with the permission of the owner - we were allowed to test his afm.

We ran the vagtool with the working afm and did about 25kms(logging as well) or so with some high revving and aircon on - oil temps were up boost perfect and most importantly during that 25kms , ECU light off!

That confirms my afm is completely shot.
Sigh of relief.

Shot alot gents.
Thanks
