Vw T roc 140kw

Post by PorscheGTS »

Good day all , firstly I would like to say thank you to each and everyone on this platform . Has really been a delight to know there's help and advice when needed .

I'm about to purchase my 2nd vw , been a t roc 140kw , I just have a few questions if anyone is able to help , cause the two vw sales agents I delt with couldn't answer this ,

1. What model DSG box is fitted on that (been a previous pgti 6r owner , this Is always a concern)
2. The 140kw motor. Is it the same as the polo aw gti
3. Had anyone used a jb4 And downpipe on this , if so , did the downpipe throw out error codes

Thank you in advance :D

From the VW website: DQ381

From a quick google, seems to be the same box used in the new S3, you will need to do some more digging to see common issues.

Can't help you on the other questions though. As far as I know though, even a JB4 will trigger a TD1 flag lately, so bear in mind that it may void your warranty.

2000km on the clock now. Goes well..nice and smooth. Does feel a bit flat on the top, but in terms of low down torque and everyday driving its good. Once in sports mode. You can feel it a bit more responsive. Steering gets more tight

We have collected our T Roc 2.0 TSI 4 Motion as well - Havent done much driving but seems awesome so far. Quite nippy and the car is surprisingly silent during spirited driving. The previous polo gti was much louder.
The sound isn't the greatest but I came from having Harmon Kardon in the BMW.

Maybe we keep this thread going and we can see how they respond to mods. I dont have anything planned for the near future except a detail and possibly a rim change - maintenance plan is key.
