Hi everyone, I have a 2020 Polo GTI with the digital instrument cluster. I noticed that it has the cd changer/sd card reader in the glove compartment.
Does anyone know if I can add the OEM navigation system by simply inserting the satnav memory card? Can the OEM satnav system be added aftermarket?

Re: VW Infotainment Navigation
Not as simple as that unfortunately.
There are a number of hardware pieces to be added.
Not worth it to be honest. Just use Android Auto and Google maps or WAZE, that's what I use on my Tiguan and it works great.

Re: VW Infotainment Navigation
I had the larger SatNav radio unit in my 2015 Golf R but never used the SatNav. The larger screen was great as I ran Waze on it via Apple CarPlay.

Re: VW Infotainment Navigation
Thanks for everyone's answers. While we are on the Android Auto subject. I see that you can now connect wireless with some newer radios.
Is there an adapter that I can use to connect to Android Auto wirelessly and my car has the inductive charger. When my phone is connected to the usb cable there isn't really a place to put my phone other than the passenger seat.
I did a couple of searches on google and found some adapters that supposedly enables a wireless connectivity. Has anyone tried this and does it work?

Re: VW Infotainment Navigation
They are dongles in the market with that claim but I will not advise that you buy any of them. There's yet to be a proper review that prove that they really work the one that come close it's called AA Wireless but still on prototype stages (might not see the light of the day cause their finance model is through crowd funding)
