Good day all,
My 1600 caddy takes long to start when it’s hot and stands for about 45 min . When vehicle is cold starts first time . Any advice will be appreciated.
Many thanks

Re: Caddy 1.6 starting issues
Have you gotten the car scanned for trouble codes?
Maybe crank or cam position sensor? Coils?
Do you have a check engine light?

Re: Caddy 1.6 starting issues
Hi, no engine light. Had it scanned about 6 months ago when this started. Do you have any idea how much these sensors are to replace?

Re: Caddy 1.6 starting issues
Have you done a compression test?
Have you felt a loss of power when hot?
Any smoking/oil loss?
Mileage on vehicle?
Not sure of the sensor pricing, but you can go on to Goldwagen partsfinder (just google it) and put in your car details and find the sensor, they will send a quote with the pricing.
However I think you should swap with someone else's sensors just to be sure otherwise you might be just throwing money away, especially if there isn't any codes.
