Golf 7 GTI DSG humming noise above 30km/h

Post by PlatelessMk7GTI »

Hi guys, I'm getting a humming noise when driving above 30km/h. It seems to be coming from the left side of the car, it seems to be coming from the suspension could it be a wheel bearing?!

wheel bearing seems a common issue on mk7 so yes change it.

How much did it cost to do the wheel bearing and did you only do one side or both

bearing is around R700 and about an hour labour so depending which shop does it on the last part.

Hi guys, I have a humming sound on my g7 dsg when I drive over 80-120km coming from front left, slower or faster than that the sound is gone. I’ve replaced tyres and the front bearings and it’s still there. Any ideas?
