Start by stating in which area you stay and we can direct you to someone that could assist.

When last was car serviced? Condition of the plug wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor?

Generally what you describe sounds like a car that is too lean yet you say the plugs are wet with fuel. Maybe time to get those injectors out and have a look at their spray pattern. Do they still attomise or spray a stream.

Sounds to me like the warm up valve, the element inside has probably failed. If the plugs are wet after a short drive Injectors could also be worn. They had a habit of the front conical seal perishing. Poor quality fuel. Hope that helps.
