Tiguan 162kw TSI motor code

Hi all

Does anyone know if the engine code of the Tiguan TSI (162kw) is the same as the gti? My engine code is CXD.

even if it is the same engine the code will differ. Same motor mounted in a different body by VW will attract a different code. what is the actual question though.

Hi

I understand the engine family is the ea888 motor. But surely they must have a specific code to differentiate this motor to the 132kw motor?

Basically I am trying to establish which motor I have so I can order the correct JB4. As well as other various bits.

I want to know what will fit my car. Downpipe/ jb4 etc.

Oh! My apologies, I missed that one. Phone a dealership with a Mk7 in stock and ask them if they can perhaps assist you.

I recall the BWA motor being used in Audi, VW and SEAT at the time

So the one golf 7 we service has an engine code of CHH.

I think he has a pretty new tiguan.

Yip he has the second gen Tiguan TSI.

While your motor is similar to the G7 GTI (Block,head, turbo) other things may differ like intercooler etc....

Yes a G7 GTI DP will bolt on the turbo but the under tunnel path will differ due to different chassis and the 4 motion of the TSI.

A JB PNP is not a problem as the Tiguan TSI 220hp is compatible.

I noticed that the engine number is on quotes I've requested from VW, so you could ask a VW dealership for a quote and see the engine code on there?
