Engine Light Golf 7 GTI

Post by Brat Boy »

Hi Guys

I fitted an Intake on the car and now I got an Engine Light on the dash, After fitting the intake I started and drove the car for about 1KM no lights was on today after driving the light came on. All I did was removed the standard box and blocked off 1 pipe and fitted the Intake. Did I miss somthing?

Please assist

What intake did you fit?
What pipe did you block off?
Did you reconnect the small vacuum pipe on the intake?

It was my stupidity, I blocked of a vacuum pipe I was not supposed to, The engine light was cause by the intake manifold, flaps was not closing due to the vacuum being blocked

What intake did you go with? Satisfied with the results? Asking, as I'm considering the R600 intake

CPI, I dont like it. Looks wise as well as Performance wise. Will be changing it soon. Looking at teh R600 as well as the ECS tuning one. Will see closer to time

I also hear a lot of good things about the R600, but a lot of the stuff I read says its most beneficial from Stage 2 setups...my car is still stock so I dont think it'll make a substantial difference lol
