This thing, BWA Tfsi

Post by Dale »

Hi guys,

So, I went to GW Delarey to look for this part and the fiche didn't show it at all.

Any idea what the part name for it is and should it need to be replaced? As per my previous post the carbon rings are cracked.

Thanks.

Chain cover, the front part is the vacuum pump, the rear end is the part the slides into the adjuster, this is the part that doesn't exist in the parts catalogue.

ok so hang on. You basically just need the three carbon rings. Why do you want to buy the entire thing?.

hi Stephan,

yeah, just the carbon rings but doesn't display on the fiche as an actual part. They are still intact but cracked as per my previous post. Tbh, I am not sure if this will cause the adjuster to make a noise, not enough oil pressure, if they need replacing..

Seem that that part on the cover screw out and will have to be replaced.

Yup. GW sourced a few sets for me. So they are available. You just slip them on. CAREFULLY.
