2014 Polo GTi 1.4 TSi

Post by jaunrothner »

Hello All,

I am considering buying a 2014 Polo GTi with DSG, 1,4 TSi, 77000km

The vehicle has full service history with the agents and seems to be in top top condition,

Is there anything according to you guys which I need to lookout for? Or which I need to have checked/confirmed before accepting the deal?

Is there also anybody here who can check and confirm for me if the vehicle was in an accident or not please?

Thanks for your help!

Don't do it . I had a brand new one . There is a reason VW discontinued that engine . Mine drank oil and DSG box was always iffy from the beginning.

When did you sell you vehicle?

What was the major issues with your Polo when you still had it?

What was your average consumption as well?

I've also never heard anything good about this model.
Rather save up and get the 6C 1.8T.

Are all these 1.4 Versions problematic, even Scirocco ?

Dude like the other posts say.....keep far far far away from it. The engine is a lemon, if it decides to Kak out you will cry tears of blood for repairs especially if it is out of warranty. I had one, got rid of it a month ago after it's DSG was replaced (fortunately by VW) however it was a year out of warranty, but I had already signed for the new polo Gti so I think they were just kind to me, or I was flippin lucky. When I got rid of mine it only had done 52 000km.
