Vw Jetta Mk2 Fuel Consumtion
Hi Guys
I have a boosted mk2 jetta cli, this car is over heavy on fuel.
The car runs quite smooth, and will be tuned soon.
Just out of curiosity, 2e with 8v xflow head, Gt28 Turbo, 440cc injectors, avg fuel consumption with normal driving?

You have an untuned car on an untuned management of no name or mention with an unknown driving habit and you are asking what the consumtion should be?.
I recon 10.215 km/l exactly.

Re: Vw Jetta Mk2 Fuel Consumtion
My Jetta could drain a full tank in less than 200km when driven in hooligan mode or get 500km on a tank when driven decently.
It is a simple case of getting your car tuned properly, then work out what the consumption is.
It is pointless even thinking about working out fuel consumption on an untuned car.

Re: Vw Jetta Mk2 Fuel Consumtion
The Jetta I spoke about was a 2.0 8 valve, crossflow head, Garrett GT2871R turbo, running 1 Bar boost and around 240hp, Perfect Power management, tuned by Panic.
There you have one answer.

Re: Vw Jetta Mk2 Fuel Consumtion
Why don’t you just fill up once and then after about 100-200km fill up again and then you would know how much you are getting in the current tune state and your driving habit.
Cars and drivers differ and even similar engine build spec cars can be way different in consumption as there are many other variables to take into account. Tyre size, gearbox ratios and location plays a role too.
If I have to guess, you should see 10km/l in combined driving if well tuned, open road cruising maybe 11,5km/l and going crazy on boost 5-7km/l.
