My Boot Hatch Lock is Ceased on My Polo 6r

Apologies for posting a completely unrelated topic, but need fellow 6R pros to help.

My 6R hatch lock stopped working. I could open manually from the inside through shifting the lever inside. I purchased a new latch to install but now the lever is no longer working... The hatch is now ceased closed.

PLEASE HELP

Do a search on Youtube - plenty of videos there to DIY.

Thanks... But all vids refer to the manual lever from the inside, which is also not working.

I did manage to sort it out today. Got a spline similar to an Alan key and managed to get the hinge loose, then broke it out.

New one fitted and good to go
