Hey guys and girls
So im thinking of purchasing another car to replace the mk4 kitten killer.
I stumbled upon a B7 05 model audi 2.0t with oem nav and xenons, auto with 217k klm. Not sure if Quattro.
I also found a B6 1.8t 05 model audi with the b7 front with 200k klm auto too. Not sure if Quattro
which would be the preferable choice? i know the 1.8t is the 140kw model (red T) the 20.t is the 147kw. Besides general servicing, based on reliability is there anything to look out for specifically on both models?
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Advice needed on purchasing
Neither will be quattro.
Between the 2, i would go for the B7. B6 1.8T will need all the usual evap deletes and nonsense that goes with all 1.8T's, whereas the 2.0T just needs some software to wake it up.
Main issue is the multitronic boxes at that mileage, if previous maintenance has been shoddy they will be expensive to fix.

It is an ingenius solution to a problem that should have never existed in the 1st place...

Re: Advice needed on purchasing
Without any idea of the cost or condition of either, I would seriously look at the B7 if it doesn't have the Multitronic gearbox. I loved my B6 but the 2.0T is a massively superior engine to the 1.8T.
