Hi

I drive a jetta 6 1.4 tsi. It had no spark and we discovered that the plugs are wet, after they were cleaned it started and a lot of water came out of the tail pipes. We also discovered water in the turbo intake. What could be the cause of this?

Are you trying to start the car underwater?

How much is a lot of water? Some water is normal when cold (condensation). But after moving or idling for a while there should be no water coming out at all.

And where the plugs wet with fuel or water?

There isnt suppose to be any water at all in the Turbo intake pipe. Was the engine washed or something

The plugs get wet with water which cause a mksfire on all cylinders and recently the epc light comes on while driving. I was told to check the head gasket, could that be the cause??.. How do I solve this issue?

Honestly dont know how water is going through the intake pipe its impossible unless as billionairebum asked.. lol

Im not familiar with this engine, i dont know if it has an egr with an egr cooler or if the turbo is water cooled.

First check if the water leak is internal or whether its being fed in via the intake manifold or by the egr (if it has an egr)

Its also strange that ur engine hasnt hydrolocked yet..

I have never seen a headgasket blow on all 4 cylinders, neither did i see a cracked head or block do that. So i kind of doubt it - not impossible though (nothing is impossible)
Did u notice overheating or any other symptoms?

U can also do a cylinder leak down test and a coolant pressure test and the result of that should point u in a direction..

I'm also not sure if it has an egr. The turbo is water cooled though. My temperature gauge is always normal, no sjgn of over heating but after +- 100km the refill coolant light comes on and I have to refill the coolant bottle....

Get the car to a quality mechanic ASAP.

You have a blown head gasket.

I've encountered this on both the CLP and CAAV engines.

Also think its a blown head gasket.
Happened with my old A3, when doing SW the fans stopped working and car overheated then blew gasket.
On cold start in the mornings, I experienced a very rough start up, which gradually got worse, and noticed the water bubbling in the reservoir.
When I opened the plugs, it was wet (water), causing the rough start.
