Hi All,
I recently purchased a Golf 5 GTI DSG to be used as a daily drive to work and back.
It has been really good to me thus far but i am having an intermittent issue.
Car idles and drives perfectly but once every few weeks the car cuts power and wont rev passed 2k rpm (Normally happens after i have been driving for a while and not cold). If you accelerate it just does nothing.
Car does not cut out and still idles fine. I have to basically pull off switch the car off for a few minutes and its perfect again.
I bought a VCDS cable and software an i am getting the following error:
012555 - Low Pressure Fuel regulation
P310B Fuel Pressure Outside Specification - Intermittent.
also getting Fuel Rail/System Pressure too low P0087 which im sure is being triggered due to the above error.
After doing some research its recommended to change the trust sensor, if issue still persistent i need to change the in tank LPFP.
I called goldwagen and its around 1200 for the sensor and same price for the in tank LPFP. Are there any aftermarket sensors available cheaper before i go the ebay route?
Thanks Guys.

Re: Golf 5 GTI LPFP issues

Re: Golf 5 GTI LPFP issues
Thanks bud
I decided to change the cam follower today and i noticed the o ring on the hpfp was damaged and the previous owner used silicone to seal it. Also the fuel feed pipes where leaking due to it not being tightened.
Bought a new o ring cleaned it up and it feels better. Will just monitor. I already orded the sensor on ebay. Will just stash it.
