Good day gents,
Anyone ever replace these sensors and are they agents only ?
Diesel Electric couldn't help me with this part.
I have a traction control light up on my dash, and when scanning, comes up with G214 fault.
I've had an occasion where the brakes locked up but at that time there was no warning light on the dash.
Would this brake pressure sensor be responsible for the functioning of the ABS ?
Could it just be the sensor, or could it be the ABS pump itself, or would that throw a different code ?
And, any way of testing before i go out and get a new sensor ?
Thanks,

Seems like it is agents only.

Re: S3 8L G214 - Brake pressure sensor
This is my Scan :
00813 - Sensor 2 for Brake Pressure (G214)
57-10 - Electric Circuit Failure - Intermittent
00810 - Sensor 1/2 for Brake Pressure
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
00778 = Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
49-10- No Communications - Intermittent
Wondering if this is definitely as a result of the Brake Pressure sensors. I don't want to spend 4k on sensors when something else could be wrong.
I think its unlikely both sensors would be defective.
What else could cause this ?
Another thing I've noticed is the brake pedal is spongy, could it be air in the system ?
Should I attempt to bleed the brakes, I don't have access to pressure bleeder though.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks

You don't ned a pressure bleeder. You just need a second person to step on the pedal.
