Howsit howsit people,, so im planning on turbocharging my mk1 golf with 2.0 8v ADY long block motor in,,so i want to know the following:
The correct size turbo for the motor
Which pistons can i use for the motor
What can i boost max with the pistons in previous question
And what power figures could i expect with the setup?
Info would be much appreciated.

easier to get a 16v turbo motor and use that or the 16v head at least - there are a few guys running the 16v turbo motors and they make great power

Turbo size depends on what you goals are.
Use the stock pistons, add a 16v head - sorted
The pistons is not what stops you from boosting. It is the fuel octane that you have access to vs compession ratio. Using the stock 8v piston with a 16v head puts you at around 8.5:1 which you can boost to around 1.2 bar without pulling too much timing.
Power figures will depend on the turbo and how good your tuner is.

Good Morning Guys i know this aint related to the above topic
i have a vw polo 9n bah how do i test the cam shaft sensor anmd what the car is doing while driving as soon as it comes to a stop or put your clutch in it cutsoff doesnt have a problem starting up again , I did start the vehicle and disconnected the lug going to the cam sensor hence nothing happened extremely puzzled now

If you go to the relevant sub section like naturally asprirated or general tech questions you can post you own thread instead of jumping into somebody elses's totally unrelated thread.
You need vcds and in mearing values or advanced measuring values look for the block that contians the camshaft rpm. Of it shows nothing it ain't working. Even if it is dead the car will resort to simply fuelling in batch mode and it might be a tiny bit heavier on fuel overall. But it won't stop the engine from running.
