This guy deleted the canister using 2 mini K&N filters, no problems for the last 6k miles and of course no CEL.

Also an option although just fitting 1 x Mk1 fuel filter is cheaper and easier.

Hi Guys,

Just an update, So yesterday I got MK1 fuel filter and 1M Piping and fitted it.. So Charcoal canister is being bypassed.
I drove 150km since yesterday and Engine light has not yet come back on..

I also noticed that the car is much lighter on fuel...
Can blocked or damaged Charcoal canister cause car to be heavy on Fuel?

I will take a pic or 2 later. But might need to make it neater or hide it..
Not sure size of piping.. Asked guy as spares shop for 1 Meter pipe to fit MK1 Fuel filter.
Only used about 1/2 meter or less..
Used same pipe from the N80 that was going to Charcoal filter, now going to fuel filter and then new pipe from fuel filter to tank return..

The light can be caused by other errors too, such as a fuel cap that does not seal, or a faulty N80 valve

From what I've read, it's a bit of trial and error sadly. You can run a test on the valve using VCDS - https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthre ... ng-VAG-COM
