S3 8P Intercooler Advice

Hi guys. I'm busy with an intercooler replacement. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket intercooler that has worked well on their S3's with minimal modifications to existing mountings which sit between air con cooler and radiator.

The S3 Intercooler with metal ends has proved to be sufficient enough for a K04.

The replacements are THS/Revo, APR, VWR... But price vs gains 'when compared' to the S3 Intercooler aren't worth it if you're on a budget. A decent WMI system will work better, or even a Forge Twin Cooler which will help.

I'm replacing because my intercooler is leaking. I can get a golf 6 intercooler (2nd hand) for 1400 from golf city. So before I just go and buy it I thought I'd ask my fellow vw brothers if there's a better option.
