2016 Polo 1.2 TSi
Hi Gents
Hope all is well, I have a quick question.
Did anyone of you owning a 2016 Polo 1.2 TSI installed a blow off value(BOV) yet.
I know this will not give me any power gain, but will give me the "sneeze" sound (which I love).
I'm VERY new 2 mods, so any suggestions are more then welcome.
Thanks guys

An aftermarket intake will give you the desired result

Hi Dazza
Thanx for the tip, i took my air intake off last night while car was in the garage, and just like you said i got the the sound
I'm getting me a aftermarket intake this coming weeking, one question though if i do go the "BOV route", will the "sneeze" sound be significantly louder?
Many Thanx

Re: 2016 Polo 1.2 TSi
A BOV is going to cause all kinds of issues, as the air that will be released was already metered by the ECU.

@amstel, so you say that it's a bad idea to get a BOV? Just go with the aftermarket intake?

Re: 2016 Polo 1.2 TSi
Any engine that uses a management system that uses a mass airflow meter has issues whenyou go to atmospheric blow off.
It measures the air by weight and adds fuel for that.
Then you throw the air away hence too much fuel is now present in the motor.
So everytime you hear that sneeze you are overfuelling.
In the long run it means bore wash which means more engine wear and a premature rebuild.

@Panic-Mechanic, thanx for your input much appreciated.
Sounds 2 me that it's a bad idea in general to get my car 2 do the "sneeze" sound.
Thanx everyone for their input

Hi panic-mechanic
I know you probably have a lot of experience in cars/modifications if i read your post. I totally understand your previous post but a quick question just to clarify things.
In the image (red box) I take it this is the airflow sensor you were talking about.
Last night i removed the connection (yellow box) and i got the sneeze sound I wanted.
So my question is if i remove the air filter(yellow, green & black box) and put on the aftermarket intake. Will this affect the airflow meter?
I hope i make sense LOL!!! apologies if its a stupid question. Or is the air intake and air filter(with all pipes and vents) not the "air intake"

There are intake solutions that give the sound with no complaints , find the 6C Thread to see some pictures.Smurffy wrote:Hi panic-mechanic

The two set ups , between R1500 and R2300 dealers and filter dependent.
