Scirocco ko4 upgrade

Post by I can d »

Just bought a scirocco 2tsi .
I also have a ko4 turbo off a s3 2.0 that i had fitted with the ko4s compressor wheel.(was told straight fit to tsi motor)
Would just like to know how much tsi can handle without changing internals.
What would be needed for convertion.
Who would be best to do conversion for me.im in boksburg area :hurray: :hurray:

600 NM is the limit. Clutches (if you are DSG, manual clutch starts slipping at Stage 1 power levels if not revised) and rods as well.
If it has been machined, and requires an external DV, you'll need a DV relocate, new throttle body pipe and an intake that will allow the relocation

For the TSI you need the following parts to run the K04.

Intake and downpipe and a tune

For best results a cooler is also recommended

Had the ko4 fitted plus unitronic stage 2+ software plus s3 intercooler..car is crazy fast ..been driving around messing with some
serious big cars because Roc still looks standard..!i even had it tuned for some 100 octane..the other day i tried the launch control and the tyres just lid up 1&2&3..then decided i wanted a1/4 mile time so went to midvaal the weekend and first i fitted some yoko semi slicks.. Got a big surprize when i tried some cars from pull off..best time 14.1...???even with launch control all cars dropped me as it feels like when i leave the brake pedal im stationary for ages..??would dsg software make the launch quicker or how should i launch..or does the semis make the launch less effective...??

Scirocco ko4 upgrade

Post by Titleists »

You should warm up the semis first or to do a really proper time buy Hoosiers. Also deflate the semis tyres to about 1.2 bar.

Are you saying k04 on the 2.0TSI is a waste? there are gains of 60-80 WHP and huge torque increases to be had over the IHI unit, thats not a little increase

Also look into some proper suspension mods if you intend on putting that power down.
Springs, Shocks, Mounts etc. will all aid in traction.
You may feel that if you warm up the slicks properly and dial back the power you may run a better time

It made a decent 362 hp and 514 nm on dyno...the wheelspin in beginning was a lot of fun but now its getting irritating and thats why at this moment a lsd is being fitted with some engine mounts.. Hoping to do some 1/4 miles with decent time

You doing 14+ with ko4
Anyway doesn't matter how much power you can make you need to ip grade to rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive
