Abf Flywheel and Vr6 clutch kit Max Power?

What would the max power that this setup can handle be more or less?

Carl made 434whp with this set up IIRC.

I'm going to be using the same set up and shooting for 400whp.

What power you looking to make?

Maranoux makes 350kw 500Nm op this setup.

howzit gents, heard this could be used as a replacement for an 8L s3, mate of mine actually went to get it and was told that it wouldn't work and opted for dual mass again, set him back 3500 or so.
is there any mods to be done to the flywheel to fit or is it direct bolt on replacement?

Sorry bud, Wont work in the S3. The S3 has a 6speed gearbox using a bigger flywheel and clutch. vr6 is 228 and the s3 I think 240.

What it so special about the vr6 and abf set up. I am Planning on changing my polo 9n Gti clutch. But I am going to make up a solid flywheel and use my existing clutch. What do u think

It's much cheaper than replacing it with the original DMF and clutch and can handle extra power. So yeah allot to gain and doesn't affect the pocket.

Only downside is some chatter but not enough to be a concern.

OK so Im thinking of making up a billet flywheel (solid) Instead of an ABF flywheel. And using the original polo Gti clutch.

Those ABF flywheels are hard to come by.

The kit is very easy to come by, just not looking in the right places, at the time of this post, The combo meant making use of the ABF Flywheel but since then suppliers stock the complete kit, SMF, pressure plate, clutch plate and release bearing.

Sachs clutch kit on my VR6T .7bar 320whp/400nm had no issues at all, currently using Luk and it's also a great kit
