270 whp and 400 wnm on a 1.8T with K04-23 , 1.5 bar for me ...In my Mk1 - FRC Dyno last week with 28 deg room temp and pump gas

on unitronic website:
1.8T stage 2 on peak boost is 18 psi
which is 1.275 bar

so why the spike for some of us to 1.4...

1.4 vs 1.275 isnt a huge spike so no need to worry.
Basically it happens because your boost pid isnt tuned perfectly for your motor. Ideally you actual should meet requested and then not overshoot.

Since fitting the cupra cooler I just touch 1.3bar now so can only imagine that the old cooler was very congested either in the core or the piping but funny enough, less boost but it feels stronger.

FRC Stage 2 - 1.4Bar boost

This is after I changed my intake, DV (havent taken it for a remap) before with a BMC intake and 007DV I was running 1.25Bar

if you guys are peaking at over a bar boost, do you guys run on a mix? as i would assume running 1.4 with without compensation on the fuel side, would lead to deternation. Just asking, as i had agu, BT setup, maped 0.9 low boost, and anything over i either used octain booster or avgas

Jip running 1.3bar boost on plain ol 95 pump no pinging or predetonation at all and very very little timing pull...like max -4deg now and then

1 bar boost on a big turbo is not the same as 1 bar boost on a small turbo.

Boost PRESSURE is not the same as air flow.

Think of it this way. A Truck tyre takes 2 bar of air when you fill the tyres... so does my bicycle! Which has more air? Its a measure of PRESSURE in the intake manifold. A BT car can make way more power with alot less boost.

Good choice bud, pricey for one with low mileage. I recon ill hold out till the facelift pgti comes if its a 1.8T that is.

What software are you looking at changing to?
The options are FRC and Stealth in CPT. Im not a big fan of Ferroli so Revo is out. Stealth is the closest to me
