WOTBOX Fitted!

Post by Jueshen »

finally got wotbox fitted TX to Yosh and Lee for the exceptional service - it was not a straight forward job as my car always gives issues and what suppose to be a 2 hour job turned into a 8 hour job done over 2 days!

non the less Yosh only charged me 2 hours labour - u rock bru

all i can say is FKN awesome!!

NLS is great you always in boost! boost literally doesnt drop trust me it may not sound that great but you have to experience it...

havent got the gushot on demand skills as yet lol

but when the xhaust is hot and on NLS damn it throws a flame with a loud gunshot - i screamed to myself when i heard it - wasnt not expecting anything as i did maybe 20 min on NLS driving and then all of a sudden BANG GWA!

able to NLS all the way from 1st but most ppl NLS from 2nd..

having it set on auto is safest but to those having it set to 300 ms how to you know you changing on time?
i have set my NLS ignition cut to 300ms..

if im not shifting fast enough ignition will come back on right? then revs will flare up while shifting which is not good... and gear change will not be smooth

currently my gear changes are smooth when i NLS and revs dont flare up which means im doing it right yes?

would be cool if wotbox could store logs of average shift times when set on auto and then from there you can view your shift times and set igntion cut accordingly... i mean you dont want it to cut ignition for too long if you shift very quick.. you want that ignition to come back as fast as possible for the lowest possible ET when doing a run

price +- R 1800 then fitment on top of that - yes it will help with you 1/4 mile times lower ET - Elapsed time...
spoke to Yosh said its a skill that i will learn along the way lol
hope i learn that skill quick
cutting the ignition for a longer period will let it add more fuel so easier gunshots but i dont hink i will do that as it will eventually affect my times..
as well my frikken windows 8 laptop if giving me **** connecting to the wotbox - so i had yosh do all the settings for me...
ill leave it on 300ms NLS is the best gunshots are just bonus and awesome when ppl **** themselves when they hear it!

Its designed for for the drag strip and yes your times will drop its manual transmissions answer to DSG, DCT etc. Most guys get it for the sound for people who dont go to the strip at all I think it isnt worth getting sure the sounds and the no lift shift will be fun for a while but it will wear off eventually.

hey bru yes it does cut into wiring but if done professionally using reccomended techniques dealer should not notice it unless they looking for it / mods. look at link below they are install insrtuctions for VAG cars as well.

http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotbox

i dont think any of use use the LC - just provides endless wheelspin even if you not building much boost
and also the 1.8t ecu's i beleive dont like building boost it will just bog car down after you launch - ecu doesnt like building boost when not in gear
and if you hold the LC down too long the engine will throw a missfire detection code and car will be in limp mode for a few minutes..

NLS is the only feature i use...

if you use a manual boost controller and throw some slicks on you can set the LC to enabled and it will work..

ok i have to say again how awesome the NLS is!
powerband of car is totally different when using NLS
its amazing how you get violently get thrown back in you seat when you NLS into the next gear LOL
its still holds boost from previous gear and boost picks up instantly from where its held when u change gear to peak boost spike not gradually like when you not using NLS
so there is power where there wasnt that much power before in the same rev band..

if u get what im saying..
