Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
yeah i know, the element on your current maf is the same. So you could even buy a dead maf and swap the element over.

Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
also if you look at the element in the housing it is placed at an angle already
read here that you guys are turnin the housing to a correct angle
think al long as housing is in a straight line all else is fine

Maf signal to high would still result in a faulty Airflow sensor, unless the Maf diags table is not scaled correctly...
Edit: Boost leak would result in the code aswell
I have installed a new maf as I thought this was the problem... But didn't get sorted...
I have checked for boost leak with a smoke machine n no leaks we're noticed..
I physicaly checked for vac leaks but there is no torn or broken pipes... So I'm guessing
There is no vac leaks...

I thought maf limit for the 64mmID maf was 190ish, the 70mmID 220ish and the big s4 one was 292?

Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
What i meant was, isnt the 64mm maf at 4.9xxx volts at around 190g/s. Hence the error in the software.

Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
Guys could yourll please explain the 11 o clock plug position of the maf a little bit in detail,I'm still trying to make sense of it.does the element of the maf have to face exactly vertical or horizontal or at a certain angle? Does it really matter which angle it is in as its still calculating the amount of air goin in..its the first time I'm reading something like thie about the maf so I'm really to learn more.

Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
Lol sorry Gizmo... Have been really hectic... I forgot to update..
So far so good... I changed back to standard N75 as per you and everything seems all
Ok...
I had the N75j which was prob causing over boost at a certain RPM/Load.
I hope that error doesn't come back.. Crossing fingers

Re: 1.8T maf signal too high
Hey Guys.
Hope alls well.
I have a AMK motor on a A3 with a 30/71 Turbo, I recently purchased a 3" maf rated 225bhp ( 06A906461M ), once I plugged it on the EPC light stayed on and the cars battles to rev up.
Any advice?
