have an intermittent issue with the catalytic converter warning light (yes, it IS called that, according to the manual)
If I clear the error, and check later it shows the issue as intermittent. But sometimes is triggers the MIL light for a day or two. It comes on for a day once or twice a month, usually for the day. Having the light on does not seem to hamper anything, but is irritating.
VCDS Scan gives:
Rosstech says1 Fault Found:

Morne suggested changing the fuel filter which seemed to help for about a month, then the light was back on.Possible Causes
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80) faulty/jammed
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (N115) faulty/jammed
Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Sealing faulty
Pipes between Tank Breathing and Throttle Body leaky/blocked
Possible Solutions
- Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve (N80)
- Perform Output Test
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (N115)
Check Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister- Perform Basic Setting
Check Pipes between Tank Breathing and Throttle Body
I'm not too clear on what to look for when you "perform basic settings" part in VCDS that ross-tech suggests. I recall having done the N80 test before, but now VCDS seems to not allow "selective output tests" as the option is greyed out - but anyway some forums have said the test for the N80 valve does not run long enough to identify it sticking anyway, but worth a try.
